Scouts in the News!

Several ECD packs who participated in Haunted Forest were featured in The Irmo News.

Lexington  County Sheriffs demonstrated lots of things for Pack  91 last weekend.

Troop 521 recently dropped by the Scout office and was able to attain 17 US Flags that were in need of official retirement. With thanks to Lorie we received  many ceremonies. Troop 521 carried out some of these solemn ceremonies on a  recent outing. This was a very moving experience for the Adult leaders as well as our Scouts. We will probably conduct a ceremony at this weeks meeting as well. In light of the 9-11 actions, our patriotism is blossoming into more than just a passing fad. Let us remember Old Glory and when she should be retired, let us pay the proper respect and inform our fellow citizens that the BSA are ready and willing to take care of our civic duty when and where we can. – Don Carroll, Troop 521

Troop 91 is retiring flags and having a Troop Yard Sale at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church on Sat. November 10 from 7-11:30 am.  Call Lorie McGraw at 750-0626 for more details.

If you know of Scouters that have contributed service to others above and beyond the norm, please let the editor know
