District Kickoff
Roundtable is held the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Come Early! Games with prizes, Preview Tables and Displays at 6:30 pm
Ashland United Methodist Church
2600 Ashland Rd., Columbia, SC between St. Andrews Road and
Bush River Road.
The Round Table is a monthly gathering of volunteers in
Scouting. It is intended to get you ready for the next month's activities in
your pack, troop, patrol, or den. Please come and get all of the updated
Program Information and meet our Roundtable Commissioners!!
There will be lots of fun, and many surprises.
Bring a friend! Come early, as there
will be demonstrations, games, and exhibits set up
at around 6:30.
Free
Handouts with program ideas will be provided and
there will also be Freebies each month
(supplies
limited). And
don't forget to pick up the latest news and updates in the Up Etowah Creek Newsletter (Past issues online here). Boy Scout Roundtable and Cub Scout Roundtable are held at
the same time and are aimed at bringing you, the leader, parent, or
assistant, the best and most up-to-date information and resources that we can
supply.
The most important part of
Roundtable, however, are the people. Meeting other
participants and networking with them is possibly the most valuable aspect to
attending RT.

How to Get There
From Downtown Columbia,
- 1. take I-126 West to Spartanburg/Greenville.
- 2.Take the St. Andrews Road West Exit. Cross the freeway, continue through
2 lights. approx. 1. mile. At the McDonalds, take a left at the light (Ashland
Rd.). Ashland United Methodist Church is on the left, a little less than 1/4
mile down the road.
From Irmo/St. Andrews Rd.
- Head down St. Andrews Rd. towards Columbia. Go past the St. Andrews Cinema
and Bo Jangles to the next light (Ashland Rd). Turn right, go down a little
less than 1/4 mile on the left.
From Charlotte or Florence:
- Take I-20 West to the second I-26/I-126 exit. Go West towards
Spartanburg/Greenville. Follow Step 2 above.
From Augusta,
- take I-20 to the I-126 exit. Take I-26/I-126 West to
Spartanburg/Greenville (the 2nd exit). Follow Step 2 above.
From Charleston (I-26 West):
- Stay on I-26 towards Spartanburg/Greenville. (I-26 and I-126 are the same
in this area, fondly known locally as Malfunction Junction). Go past the
intersection of I-20. Continue West and follow Step 2 above.
From Spartanburg/Greenville
- take I-126 towards Columbia. Take the St. Andrews Rd Exit. At the light
take a right past the BP Station. Continue as in Step 2 above, through 1 more
light, left at McDonalds, etc.
From Lexington
- Take Hwy 6 across the Lake Murray Dam. At the 1st light (Old Bush River
Rd.) take a right. Go to St. Andrews Rd and turn right again. Head down St.
Andrews Rd. towards Columbia. Follow Irmo directions, above.
