Age: Boy Scouts and Venturers

Date: November 21-23, 2008
Place: Harbison State Forest, Broad River Rd..
Cost: $16 per Scout

Camporee is a week-end long Scouting experience for Boy Scouts and Venturers.  The Theme will be a return to the original Brownsea Island Campout that started it all on 1907.


For your initial planning:
  • Register early: There is limited space at the Camporee
  • You may register by phoning the Scout Office
    • Have the number of boys that will attend
    • Be sure to tell them it is for the Etowah Creek District Camporee and give the Date.
  • You may also register online at the Indian Waters Council site (go to Events Registration)
  • ~Troops should try to arrive by 8 pm on Friday.
  • Some of the Camporee competitions may start that evening.
  • Spend Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday morning at the Camporee!


Some of the exciting activities will include games and challenges, skills competitions, demonstrations and performances and much more.
